L.S. Aero Marine, the historic boat chandlery and marina at 73 Lakeside Drive, Bemus Point, New York sold boats directly from Christopher Columbus Smith before Chris-Craft Corporation even existed! The old boat chandlery is now an exciting museum with exhibits and activities for the whole family.
HOURS & ADMISSIONS: Hours are Saturdays, 10:00 - 05:00 and Sundays, 1:00 - 5:00. From July 1 through Labor day, we are also open on Wednesdays from 1:00 - 5:00. Admission is $5 for adults. Members, Children under 18 and active military families are always free. Next free "Learning at the Lawson" lecture: Fletcher (Ned) Ward, will present the history of Chautauqua Lake’s Ice industry at Wednesday, June 28 at 6:30 pm. The presentation is based on Ward’s book, The History of Chautauqua Lake’s Ice Industry 1865-1935, which chronicles the history of the ice industry in the United States and the commercial ice business which flourished here on Chautauqua Lake. From 6:30 - 7:00, mix and mingle with refreshments graciously provided by Guppy's. Lecture from 7:00 - 8:00.
