L.S. Aero Marine, the historic boat chandlery and marina at 73 Lakeside Drive, Bemus Point, New York sold boats directly from Christopher Columbus Smith before Chris-Craft Corporation even existed!  The old boat chandlery is now an exciting museum with exhibits and activities for the whole family.

Next free "Learning at the Lawson" lecture:  Fletcher (Ned) Ward, will present the history of Chautauqua Lake’s Ice industry at Wednesday, June 28 at 6:30 pm.  The presentation is based on Ward’s book, The History of Chautauqua Lake’s Ice Industry 1865-1935, which chronicles the history of the ice industry in the United States and the commercial ice business which flourished here on Chautauqua Lake.   From 6:30 - 7:00, mix and mingle with refreshments graciously provided by Guppy's.
