One of the most interesting exhibits at The Lawson Center is the Boat Shop, where many of our restoration projects go from basket case to showroom jewel, thanks to the work of our volunteers. Join us Wednesday, September 25 to find out what they've been working on. Veteran boatbuilder Giff Lawrence will answer your questions and maybe share a few boatbuilding secrets. But that's not all! TLC members will share how you too can access the shop and its tools for individual projects, using their works-in-progress as examples. Ro Woodard will share an early look at a restoration in progress of unique bat-winged boat from the 1960s. And Brad Fisher will share progress on a 100-year-old cedar plank canoe. If you've ever wondered how we do what we do, or whether you could do it too, this is the night to find out.
